Last Weekend of Freedom!

So this last weekend was crazy! It was super busy but nice at the same time. I worked my last shift for the week on Wednesday and then had the rest of the week off. That was super nice! That night me and Tyler just hung out at his apt since all of our room mates were gone still. Thursday we went to lunch with my dad and then packed up a weekend bag and headed for Tooele to stay at Tyler's dad's house. We made a short stop in Centerville at his mom's house for a little bit. We didn't stay long because no one was there. Then we made another stop at Tyler's brother Levi's apt in Salt Lake to work on his computer that was having issues. Tyler's good at that stuff. After that we went up Millcreek Canyon to a restaurant called Log Haven. It was pretty fancy. I think the cheapest thing on the menu was like $20. It was super tasty though. Both me and Tyler were glad that his sister and new husband (the main reason for all of the happenings of the weekend) were treating all of us. They live and work in NYC so the cost of living in Utah is practically pocket change I'm sure, haha. Anyway, after dinner we finally got to Tyler's dad's house in Tooele. Everyone was already in bed and we were tired too so we went to bed. Friday we went up to Park City to spend time with Tyler's sister Charity, the one that just got married. They were staying at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel up there. Also super nice. Their room felt more like my apt than a hotel. It was fun though. We played games and talked with family. We left the hotel around 11ish and headed back down to Tooele. The next morning we got up and just chilled until about 12:45-1 ish. Then we went and had lunch at The Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake. Another meal that was super tasty but no doubt pricy. It was really good...and the desserts, divine! From there we went to Sports Den to look at some shoes that Julia (Tyler's other sister) wanted to get. They were those cool running shoes that have a slot for each of your toes. They were pretty sweet. After that Julia dropped me and Tyler off at Levi's cuz his comupter was still having issues so Tyler had to look at it again. They got it fixed now though so it's working. Then we went to the Devoreaux (sp? I have no idea) Mansion across the street from the Energy Solutions Arena. This is where Charity and Greg (her new husband) were having their wedding reception. They got married at the beginning of November last year in New York so they had to come here to have a reception for the friends and family that couldn't make it to New York for the real thing. It was a really nice reception and they had a pretty good turn out. At least I thought so. Once everyone had come and gone we cleaned up and headed home. We watched a movie...Julia and Steven (Tyler's younger half brother) did, me and Tyler fell asleep. After the movie we were obviously tired so we went to bed. Sunday morning me, Tyler , and Julia were the only ones that slept in. Everyone else got up and went to church at 9. Julia got up and went to Sacrament meeting. Me and Tyler just hung out till abou 11 then we got ready for my friend and former room mate Tammy's farewell. She's leaving for the San Bernadino California Mission on Wednesday I believe. She's going to be such an awesome missionary! I will miss her though. That's ok, she's doing the right thing. She's so great! It was good to go and see all of the Monkeys again. I miss them all so much! We got a picture of all 6 of the originals together (Nicole, Jessika, Annie, Tammy, Emma, and me). It was like a reunion. After the meeting we went to Tammy's house and had dinner. It was starting to get dark so we decided we better hit the road since we had to get back to Logan before too late.

Overall it was a very eventful weekend filled with family, friends, and fun. I was a little sad when it was all over...that could be because I knew the next thing I had to do was school, which started this morning...ick. Anyway, I'm ok with it. It will hopefully make the next fews months go by quickly so we can look forward to more family events ;) It's going to be a good time!
